P-P-PIC up a TFT with chipKIT and DisplayCore

Did you know that chipKIT boards are probably the best choice for controlling a TFT screen?... Considerably better than most Arduino boards, that is for sure! I say that with confidence for three reasons:
- chipKIT boards typically have far more memory and computing power than many Arduino boards, and as a result, they are so much better at manipulating graphics and data for display.
- chipKIT boards can get the data out to the TFT screen so much faster though high-speed interfaces, so less time is spent redrawing things on the screen. You'll find that images appear instantly, as opposed

The MPIDE is great and provides plug-and-play and instant gratification but, sometimes, complex sketches require a more powerful IDE. QEMU (short for "Quick EMUlator") is a generic and open-source machine emulator/virtualizer, and now a port of QEMU for PIC32 MCUs is available, which means some chipKIT boards are now supported! The supported families include PIC32MX7 and PIC32MZ, and several boards including chipKIT Max32 and chipKIT Wi-FIRE are among the list of supported boards.

Want to slow down your chipKIT Pi just for fun? Simulate an 8-bit MPU with this "kewl" project that implements a 6502 instruction set simulator on a chipKIT Pi development board. The project was inspired by fond memories of the Commodore Plus/4 and C16 home computers (circa 1984). The simulation includes TEDMON (the machine code monitor) as well as the EhBASIC interpreter. Kudos to Darron M. Broad for creating this cool project!
