I have a chipKIT Uno32 with the Basic I/O Shield and they both work fine. I have outputted the temperature readings from the sensor to an LCD with ease, but how do I calibrate it as it always gives me a reading about 2-3 deg over temperature?

I don't know the specific answer to your question (you'd think I would since I designed the board, though, wouldn't you :) ). However, you could look in the data sheet for the temperature sensor IC to see if it gives any guidance on calibration.

The device is a Microchip TCN75AVUA, and the data sheet can be downloaded from the Microchip web site.

Thanks, the data sheet says it can be ±2°C (maximum) from -40°C to +125°C. Mine is obviously the +2°C
