I uploaded new compiler test builds that should address the missing kill() and getpid() stub problem. https://github.com/jasonkajita/chipKIT-cxx/downloads

You can extract the pic32-tools directory containing the compiler over your existing pic32-tools directory in your mpide build.

I'd recommend installing the MPIDE RC2 from 2012/06/12. http://www.chipkit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1412 Once you have the new mpide build installed, you can replace the compiler in that build with this one.
