Why are the pads for the ICSP connector on the UNO not inline? Can the standard 90 degree male headers fit?

They were offset so that press fit without soldering will work with any 100mil spaceing pin headers. It makes it easier to program and then remove the header without having to solder in the header permanently.

They are press fit and easy to manipulate.So even you don' solder it ,it would help.
