The new shields work like a charm.

Brought them both up on my MAX 32, compiled the sketches (Ethernet, USB, Oled, ...), and worked first shot out of the barrel.

Great going guys.

Current USB support is device only, so I'm hacking the Microchip App Lib support to add Host USB support to the Sketch library. (I have a key need for USB Host.)

FYI: for newbies that want to play around with the USB GenericDevice support, the Microchip App Lib has a winusb example project that has all the necessary Windows XP/ Windows7 driver files that are needed to support it. Microchip also includes a simple PC test app to verify that you can connect to the USB GenericDevice, and it does successfully connect to the Max32 running the Ethernet/USB shield.

We're working on adding a USB host library. We are also working on adding UDP support to the Ethernet library. The UDP support is essentially done, with work on USB host to start soon.

Optimistically, these will be available in about three weeks.

I found a serious bug with these - they haven't hit Germany yet. :o

To get them in Germany, you can contact Trenz Electronic. They are our main distributor in Germany, and they can certainly get them if they don't already have them. Trenz has the other chipKIT boards in stock. The Network Shields currently aren't on the Trenz web site, but that may be because they are still in the process of getting them up.

Hi Gene,

I check their website daily. I got my MAX and UNO from there ;)

Thanks

If it helps, LexTronic in France, is one of our distributors, and they also have purchased some Network Shields for resale.

It would be nice to ask Mouser to carry all boards and shields also - they don't have Uno32 or Ethernet shield while carrying MAX32 and I/O http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=chipkit
