Hi there,

I'm looking for a simple way to increase the voltage from 3.3V to 5V on six individual pins. It needs to be done as fast as possible as the pins will continuously change HIGH/LOW at up to 8MHz. It will be used to control a display that I've previously used a 5V logic MCU to control.

Any clues? Please bear in mind that I'm not that gifted when it comes to circuits, and converting diagrams to circuits... :)

I use these (or an equivalent circuit in my own boards):

I vote for a 74HCT541 or similar running on 5V input reliable from 3.3V and good up to ~40MHz.

For going 5V back to 3.3V inputs check they're 5v tolerant and probably bung a 1K resistor in just to keep the current down.

Hi there!

I bought a 8pin 3.3 <--> 5V logic converter from Futurlec. Works like a charm! :)

Another good way to do it...
