Hi. If it helps anyone I've written a HOWTO for Arch on how to get the IDE up and running. Obviously specific to Arch but may help others.

It's in the Arch Wiki under ChipKit the board decided the URL was spam

The basic problems I found (but fixed successfully) were :-

1. No avr-size installed (in avr binutils package)
2. No 32 bit ELF or libUSB installed, obviously only a 64 bit issue.
3. rxtx missing.

All suggestions etc. welcomed :)
