It would be great to have Tapatalk installed to make Forum more usable on mobile devices:

https://tapatalk.com/

Its free, easy to install.

I would agree with you there - except the phpBB version in use here is so ancient (I think we're on version 2!!!!) I doubt it can be installed.

You are right, current stable TAPATALK plugin for phpBB 3.0, beta is for 3.1 Maybe there is an older version of plugin is available if it is compatible with latest clients.

But updating phpBB would be a better choice independently of TAPATALK.

I agree - but that would mean re-creating the theme, and I don't think anyone here knows how to do that ;)

Although, that said, it does look to just be a free downloadable theme (Polyethelene from StylerBB.net)

Edit: tried downloading it - it appears to be corrupt (or using a non-standard version of zip that Linux unzip doesn't like).

I'm not a big fan of the tapatalk popups - I'm aware that it's based on cookie settings, but hit enough forums that throw a tapatalk pop up at you, and it gets pretty annoying pretty quickly...

Popup is one thing, you can disable it and do not hurt next, forget.

But on a mobile device it makes life much more easier. I follow-up 4 forums from an Android phone regularly when waiting in a queue, etc. And read others without Tapatalk in every 2-3 days when I get time at my desktop machine.

Anyhow, it is optional and you don't have to like it :)

This is the only forum I use regularly that doesn't have tapatalk... I use it all the time. It's great.

For this one I have to rely on dodgy atom feeds...
