XP SP3 setup

Hi, I'm trying to run mpide latest on xp sp3, getting an error when running mpide.exe - "An error occured while starting the application", "Launch4j".. Any hint what shall be done in order to run the mpide? Any dependencies? P.

I have it running on XP sp3..It did burp once.."error on xxx" don't quite remember what..I tried again and it ran fine.

I'l double check the build. The about.bmp file used with launch4j was corrupted, and I had to remake the file for the build to work. I'll have to check the status of that file to be sure you weren't having a problem related to that.

..the win7 and linux versions start, xpsp3 does not. Downloaded many times, the welcome bmp shows for about half a minute and then I get the error message with ok to leave.. the arduino 0022 works.. -p.

You might be experiencing a the preference issue, https://github.com/chipKIT32/chipKIT32-MAX/issues/38. It's resolved in the current build.

Please try the windows build released today. https://github.com/downloads/chipKIT32/chipKIT32-MAX/mpide-0022-chipkit-win-20110530.zip

The same problem with the latest download (20110822) as with the very first one: ..getting an error when starting mpide.exe - "An error occured while starting the application", "Launch4j".. (;-) -p
