Even though I agree that the ChipKit boards were announced too early and not enough of the project was working, I have to say it's a MAJOR undertaking for any company or group to even attempt such a thing. I was able to load up my current project for the Arduino, and build it for both Arduino (several flavors) as well as the Uno32 and Max32. I was also able to program my Arduino from the MPIDE sucessfully.
I also have to say that my code does not do anything unique to either board set, other than Serial I/O, which compiled flawlessly for all platforms I tried. KUDOS to all who are working on this major project and giving us something unique. You are not the only one though, but appear to be the furthest along on the libraries and such. I'm not sure everyone appreciates the mammoth tasks you have all undertaken! Good work everyone and keep it up! I may yet get myself an Uno32 or Max32 to tinker with. :D
