Hello.

The chipKIT Network Shield library documentation (Doc # DSD-0000318 for networking operations) supports officially the ChipKIT Max32 + NETWORK shield couple. Is it possible to use or adapt easily the chipKIT Network Shield library for Cerebot MX7cK? The processors in the platform boards are different, but they belongs to the same processors family.

Thanks in advance.

The chip certainly has what is needed, so it's just a matter of wiring it up. Finding the right pins to use could be tricky. I'm not intimate with that shield, but I think it just provides a PHY interface to the in-built ethernet interface of the chip. If so it'll require more than just a couple of wires.

But an official position on this topic is still missing. It would therefore be appreciated.

The Cerebot MX7CK and chipKitMAX32 use the same processor PIC32MX795F512L. The Ethernet PHY is also the same on Cerebot MX7CK and Network Shield. In conclusion the Ethernet library is compatible with both.
