How long do you have to wait between posting messages? I am frequently running up against the "You cannot make another post so soon after your last." error.
It often takes me only moments to read and answer a post, and having to sit and twiddle my thumbs between answering and being able to submit is an absolute pain.
It's not my fault my brain is overclocked...

I have gotten this same error as well, and wish that we could eliminate this feature of the forum. I don't think we have a problem with spam-bots posting many messages all at once.

Definitely a good change to make. At least shorten the forced delay.
I looked through the moderator control panel, but that particular setting is not visible.

Please please please please PLEASE can we fix this?! It's really really really chaffing my nads!!!!
In phpBB 3 it's a simple setting in the ACP - it'll take a matter of a few seconds to fix it, but I'm not sure what version we run here:
POSTING -> Post Settings -> Flood interval

I just sent an administrator a PM requesting a little forum tweaking on this issue.
EDIT: And promptly received the "Cannot post so soon" when making this post, after PMing him/her.

We had a good run of it being fixed… didn't realize it must have defaulted back after an update. I just changed the interval - it was at 2 minutes… nobody is that patient. To test if it works this posting will be followed by some gibberish...

Worked for me… someone else give it a whirl, PM me back if it's still an issue.
