Greetings,

I am in need of getting the WiFly RN-XV 171 (hardware insert-able into XBee socket) working on the ChipKIT UNO using the Arduino wireless shield. Instead of reinventing the wheel I was hoping to use an existing library for the ChipKIT. I have searched but alas have not found any. I have found two different libraries for the Arduino, one of which(WiFlyHQ) I was able to get to work on the Arduino 1.0 IDE. Given the fact that it will take some work and frustration getting one of these libraries converted to the ChipKIT I figured I'd ask a few questions first.

  1. Is this device popular enough that I should expect it to work with the ChipKIT?
  2. Is there a library already out there for the ChipKIT?
  3. Is there a ChipKIT IDE that is compatible with Arduino 1.0 IDE?, i.e., a means to ease the conversion from Arduino 1.0 to ChipKIT IDE.

Thanks in advance,

Fred
