HelvePic32 definitions

Salut Matt, in the past weeks I used DP32 as board setting even when using my HelvePic32 as I was switching between the two boards all the time. Tonight I selected HelvePic32 as board and I get weird errors: on the blink script: c:\uecidebeta\compilers\pic32-tools\bin\bin\gcc\pic32mx\4.8.3\..\..\..\...

Re: compiling bootloader

Salut nroff-man, thanks for the link. It I get it right, the mpide gcc based compiler will be able to produce a bootloader that does not need the XC32-pro and I can spend the money saved on chips to write bootloaders to ;) Just as background: I try this to understand how to build a bootloader and to...

Re: compiling bootloader

Salut Matt,

found it as an option in the select drop-down for the configurations. We have a local custom here in the south to chase out the winter, so I took a break

Re: compiling bootloader

Salut, I have MPLAB-X, XC32 v1.4 (Pro 60 days) and downloaded the bootloader sources. Although I am not new to these kind of projects, I am a bit overwhelmed ... but I have 60 days to get acquainted :? I have found the definitions in the config directory and I assume I will have to create one for th...

Re: compiling bootloader

Salut Matt,

I will try my luck with MPLAB-X. I read that I can get a 60 days evaluation license for the full XC32 compiler. Does the bootloader compilation requie the standard or pro version?

compiling bootloader

Salut, I would like to compile the bootloader for my helvepic32 board. One reason is that I am interested in understanding the bootloader build process and secondly I would like to have a proper helvepic32 bootloader. I got the sources from github PIC32-avrdude-bootloader and it seems to only work u...

Re: calling createTask in a library

Salut Matt,

will test, but for the moment pic32-tools seems to be broken: I got an update today and it stops installing at 16%
[Update] fixed pic32-tools issue by unacking the deb package by hand (Total Commander plugin under windows)[/Update]

calling createTask in a library

Salut, can you point me to an example on how to call createTask in a library? When I define a task within the library it is declared like void MyClass::myisr(int id, void * tptr) {} I would then call it in the constructor this way task_id = createTask(myisr, 200, TASK_ENABLE, &task_var); but that ge...
