Re: Convert uno code to work on chipkit lenny

Which part doesn't work?

The main thing I would certainly change is to drop SoftwareSerial and use `Serial0` instead - it's the hardware UART on the TX and RX pins.

Re: Chipkit lenny can't get software serial to work

Serial1 is pins 2 and 4. For pins 0 and 1 it's Serial0 - like I showed above.
  • Serial: USB port
  • Serial0: Pins 0/1 UART
  • Serial1: Pins 2/4 UART

Re: Chipkit lenny can't get software serial to work

You don't define the pins - in exactly the same way that you don't define the pins on an Arduino.

Code: Select all

Serial0.begin(115200);

Re: Chipkit lenny can't get software serial to work

I'm not sure SoftwareSerial actually works at all. I've never had call to use it.

But then, why would you? Pins 0/1 (and pins 2/4) are hardware UARTs anyway...

It does sound like you have the wrong (or no) port selected...

By the way, the path is /dev not /etc/dev ;)

Re: New signed USB Serial drivers -

Windows 10 doesn't need drivers. It has class-compliant CDC/ACM drivers built in.

Re: DIY Fubarino Mini in TQFP package

Oh, and you can ignore the USBID pin - it's disabled in the bootloader (normally) and the pin is just under normal software control as a normal GPIO port. You can just leave it disconnected like any other pin. Save yourself a resistor and the board real-estate.

Hey, you didn't waste my time :P It sometimes takes a second pair of eyes to spot an error like that.

Re: DIY Fubarino Mini in TQFP package

You have your D+ and D- backwards on the USB port.
