Re: Breadboardable PIC32MZ?

Very cool! Is it in a repo somewhere? (the bootloader sketch)

And have you updated your pic32prog version with the necessary changes? I've love to test this out on my SDZs.

Re: Breadboardable PIC32MZ?

Fantastic! I'm really happy to hear about the bootloader. Is it fully integrated into pic32prog and Arduino IDE? I'll start modifying the SDZ with the new power supply section, and we'll get some of them made. rs2845 - I still have a couple of the older SDZs (which work fine, but you have to use a U...

Re: Breadboardable PIC32MZ?

I made a Fubarino SDZ (MZ based Fubarino SD) board a number of years ago, which appeared to work just fine. Took the Fubarino SD board and plopped down a 64 pin MZ part. However, it doesn't have the slick power supply that Majenko's boards do. I'd really like to update my SDZ board with better power...

Thanks for spotting this guys. Majenko, you added the fix to your USB branch. Did you mean to do that vs. a separate pull request?

Re: Chipkit lenny can't get software serial to work

sternfox: Majenko's quite right - it is much better to use the many hardware UARTS on chipKIT boards first, and only resort to software serial if you absolutely need to. That said, I have done some extensive testing of the software serial library on chipKIT, and it does work pretty well (as long as ...

Re: Using Teensy Encoder Library for Fubarino

I think what you want is

Code: Select all

_BOARD_FUBARINO_MINI_
(Only one underscore at end)

Give that a try.

P.S. You can find the board defines in the boards.txt file. Each board has a section, and the *.build.board= line will tell you the name of the define just for that board.

Re: No target found chipKIT Uno32 on Arduino 1.8.5 and chipKIT-core 1.4.3

hadiknown, OK, we'll do our best to help you out. 1) What version of chipKIT-core do you have installed in the IDE? 2) Can you see the serial port that the FTDI chip on the UNO32 creates? I.e. if you do "ls /etc/dev" before you plug in the UNO32 and then after, do you see a new TTY port? (I'm not a ...

Re: Fubarino Software Reset

cb, OK, here is the sketch I used to test: void setup() { Serial.begin(9600); delay(5000); Serial.println("Starting"); delay(5000); } void loop() { Serial.println("In Loop"); delay(5000); executeSoftReset(RUN_SKETCH_ON_BOOT); } When I run this on Windows 7 on a Fubarino Mini, the behavior that I see...

Re: Fubarino Software Reset

cp,

What version of chipKIT-core are you using, and what version of Arduino IDE? (If any.)

When I run under IDE 1.8.5 and chipKIT-core 1.4.3, the call to executeSoftReset() doesn't appear to have any effect on my FBMini.

Maybe if you can include your sketch too that would help me debug.
