chipKIT Win – Digilent Design Contest

Congratulations to all the talented students who participated in the 2014 Digilent Design Contest Worldwide Finals, held in Shanghai this past August. The first prize was awarded to Eugene Babkin, Bijan Bayat Mokhtari, and Angjelo Kuka of the New York City College of Technology for their tele-operated bi-manual augmented system (TOBiAS), a humanoid robot based on the chipKIT embedded platform. chipKIT Design Challenge Winners

  We are pleased to announce the winners of the chipKIT Platform Design Contest.

Level 1 Challenge

Participants will have the choice of using a chipKIT Max32, Uno32 or uC32 platform.

Level 2 Challenge

Participants will have the choice of using a chipKIT Max32, Uno32 or uC32 platform.

Level 3 Challenge

Participants will have the choice of using a chipKIT Max32, Uno32 or uC32 platform.

How Winners Were Determined

Winning entries were determined through the use of a survey grading each application on:
  • Overall impression of application
  • Use of unique peripherals found on the target MCU
  • If developer modified or created a new library
  • Documentation on hardware, libraries and tutorials
