Contribute to development

Post by ChristopheDupriez » Mon Oct 14, 2013 6:01 pm

Hi! I am a computer scientist coming from Pascal and Java world with some experience with embedded (6502 assembler!). I teamed with Denis, a true electronic engineer, and we intend to create a new approach to application deployment based on Arduino software and PIC32 PPS. ChipKIT is therefore essential to us and we are rather pleased with what we saw up to now (using DP32). We will have to support the future PIC32MX470F512L (PIC32MX450 for now) and adapt some Arduino libraries like GSM. Twitter @ChristopheDupri

Hi Christopher and Denis,

Welcome to the chipKIT community!

A detailed document explaining the MCU/board variant mechanism is currently under review by the steering committee. It should be finished soon, and will be posted here and at chipkit.net. It's a good introduction to how things work "under the hood."

Cheers

PS - I was hacking away in 6502 assembler, and later Pascal, many years ago :-)
