Hello,
I have a ChipKit Wi-Fire MCU and was wondering if it is compatible with the ChipKit Basic I/O Shield?

Sure it is.

I would recommend DisplayCore for the OLED on it (SSD1306 driver) which I know works fine with the MZ chips.
