Re: chipKit MX7 schematic

Not sure what model it is (it's too small to have a number on my board), but it's basically a USB power switch with over-current detection (I think). Used for turning on and off VBUS when in host mode.

Re: POST call on a mx7ck

Maybe the DNS lookup is failing? I think the function will return a `true` if it has worked, or `false` if it fails.

Re: POST call on a mx7ck

The DIIPcK class contains the function "resolveDomainName(const char *name, IPv4& ip)" which you can use to look up a domain name.

Code: Select all

IPv4 serverIP;
deIPcK.resolveDomainName("www.mywebserver.com", serverIP);
"serverIP" now should contain the IP address of the server.

Re: chipKit MX7 schematic

You can't get the complete schematic. The debugger is closed source and licensed from Microchip. On the schematic (https://reference.digilentinc.com/_medi ... x7_sch.pdf) it would be on page 9, which is (oxymorinically) "intentionally left blank".

Re: chipkit mx7ck calling "hello world" from webserver

The content would look like this: POST /path/to/page.php HTTP/1.1 Host: www.mywebsite.com Connection: close Content-Length: 21 Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded name=Bob+Smith&age=34 Note that the "Content-Length" must match what you put in the "body" (everything that follows the blank...

Re: chipkit mx7ck calling "hello world" from webserver

You won't get anything back from a web server without sending it a request for a web page first.

For instance, for Google, send it:

Code: Select all

GET / HTTP/1.1
Host: www.google.com
Connection close:
[extra blank line]

Re: ChipKit WiFire NMI support

I have never tried it with the MZ, only the MZ. If it's the same (and I guess it will be) you just need to enable this bit of code in crt0MZ.S: ################################################################## # If entered because of an NMI, jump to the NMI handler. ################################...

Re: Using ChipKit programmer on DIY board

"writing to bootloader" doesn't mean it's actually writing a bootloader to the chip, just that it's writing to that portion of the flash memory. The chip's flash is split into two parts - the main program flash, and the (3K) bootloader flash. The chip always boots from the bootloader flash, so somet...
