Re: Time to really show off DisplayCore

Wow, again, very nice job Matt. This is really sweet, even if not very practical for real time video frame generation. :-)

Re: chipKit Lenny

Oh, wow Matt. That's an amazing render! How long did that take you to make? Is there an easy way to import a board file into blender?

It almost looks like you've represented the height difference between copper + soldermask vs. soldermask alone properly. Is that the case?

I'm super jealous.

chipKIT-core v1.2.0 released

The chipKIT development team is proud to announce the latest chipKIT-core v1.2.0 release. You can install it directly into the Arduino IDE (latest version as of this writing 1.6.9) using the Board Manager. Instructions can be found here: http://chipkit.net/wiki/index.php?title=ChipKIT_core Release n...

Re: Upgrading to chipKIT core 1.2.0 Issue

I have found and fixed the error (for Windows - other OSes will be fixed in a few minutes). The problem appears to be that Arduino IDE does not attach any type of version number to downloaded binaries, and it puts them in the same directory. So if you have chipKIT-core v1.1.0 installed, which downlo...

Re: Upgrading to chipKIT core 1.2.0 Issue

Jacob, I have been able to reproduce this problem now. It happens any time you use the "Update" button in the Boards Manager, or if you click the "Install" button in the Boards Manager and you already have a previous version of chipKIT-core installed. So basically upgrading from an existing version ...

Re: SoftwareSerial compile errors - all ChipKit boards

Yeah, you're quite right. I'm not sure how I missed that when I did the software serial update. If you compile for a board with PPS (like Fubarino Mini, DP32, or WiFire) it will compile OK. But for any board without PPS, it will fail as you describe. My apologies - I'll add an issue to our GitHub is...

Re: SPCR, SPE, MSTR, SPSR...... For using CC1101 RF module with chipkit

The errors you are getting look to me like a result of the library you are trying to compile writing directly from the SPI registers on an AVR. This library will not work as-is with chipKIT (as it will not work with any other architecture than AVR, if it is really accessing those registers directly)...

Re: Linking errors when compiling and linking for Max32

That is a pretty old version. I'd give Arduino IDE 1.6.7 a try, with chipKIT-core v1.1.0 installed within it. You can find direction here : http://chipkit.net/wiki/index.php?title=ChipKIT_core

Maybe that will help resolve your linker issue - maybe not. But it's worth a shot.

Re: angular control of stepper motor

Sanduino, I would make sure that you have pull down resistors on the step and direction lines going from the micro to the stepper driver. That way, when the micro is not actively driving those signals (like when it is being reset and/or running the bootloader) you don't get noise triggering random s...
