Re: Breadboardable PIC32MZ?

Really great that you're able to whip up custom boards like that! I envy your knowledge. How much does it cost roughly to get a PCB like that fully assembled? I am tempted to try it with a couple of my projects but I know it'll require modifications and then become redundant. You think the 64 pin PI...

Breadboardable PIC32MZ?

Hi, I've been giving it a go to solder my own TQFP PIC32MZ chips onto those breakout boards, however it's extremely difficult and my yields are extremely low and unreliable so I have given up. I am at a crossroads with a number of projects that are just too expensive right now to produce onto PCB's ...

Upgrading sketch via ESP8266

Hello all, Is it possible to upgrade a Chipkit DP32's sketch via an ESP8266? I have used the design in one of my projects, it's not "actually" a DP32 board, but it would be great to update the sketch over the air as I can and already am doing with my ESP8266 modules.. Currently I have been using the...

Re: WS2812B library/code for DP32 or similar

Wow thanks for the fast responses! Really appreciated. @ Mathias - I am not quite sure how to work the second parameter (nP[RIGHT][Pin]) - have you got an example of what the 'RIGHT' variable should be? @Brian Thanks for your modified library too! The LED's are blinking away. Does the original devel...

WS2812B library/code for DP32 or similar

Struggling to get WS2812B's driven from a DIY Chipkit DP32. Most libraries I want to use aren't compatible as: A) They're written for AVR processors B) They're requiring SPI and DMA resources that apparently my MX270F256B doesn't have It's confusing as I have managed to drive these LED's in seconds ...

Re: Programming PIC32MZ2048ECM144

Some good news. I have a blinking LED Evidently working late at night doesn't always yield good results. The issue seemed to have been due to the physical package and pin mapping. I deleted the custom "Lenny" board and used the DP32 board which uses an SPDIP chip. Changed the config variables and th...

Re: Programming PIC32MZ2048ECM144

Still not getting any flashes sadly, even with your suggested config bits.

I am thinking it's now something to do with the pin mapping. I'm just looking at the Microchip data sheet for my chip and can't seem to see the physical/logical mapping. It's also been a long day so I will look again!

Re: Programming PIC32MZ2048ECM144

Hi, So after a few days of trying, I have been defeated. Still got no result. I've attached all my files (linker script, custom board etc) => forum.zip My hardware setup is to use the internal oscillator, no USB (or boot loader). The circuit I have copied is this one , just with the 270F256B chip. I...

Re: Programming PIC32MZ2048ECM144

But surely the linker script with/without boot loader or the MX270F256B will have the correct config bits? That's what's throwing me because I still cannot get an led on hardware pin 16 to flash. I thought the culprit was the program pin as I'd left it floating so I've pulled it low and high but wit...

Re: Programming PIC32MZ2048ECM144

Hello majenko, Thanks for your response, makes more sense. I'll just change the chip type and flags in the board.txt. I don't really need USB for this project so i've just pulled the Vusb high for now. When I get onto the MZ chip, i wouldn't mind USB- saves having an FTDI chip on my board. Have you ...
