Analogue reference Voltage.

My understanding is that the Voltage references for Analogue ports are pin 2 and pin 3. If pin 2 is connected to LED1 does that not affect analogue voltage readings.

MOSI & Chipkit Pi.

According to http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/D ... tarted.pdf

SPI connector MISO is controlled by Jumper 8
SPI connector SS is controlled by Jumper 14

What about SPI MOSI ? and where is it connected to.

Thanks

Re: I2C Slave.

Ok. In general internal pullups are frowned upon for I2C since they are normally about 10x the resistance that I2C is supposed to use. Still, they work most of the time for simple 1:1 or 1:2 usage. Don't believe they are internal, they are just already there on the Raspberry Pi PCB for SDA & SDL. I...

The Raspberry Pi has pull up resistors on the SCL & SDA lines so I was assuming I did not need extra.

Did not need extra when I attached an SF08 ultrasonic distance detector to the same setup and that worked just fine.

I2C Slave.

I am trying to setup the chipKIT Pi as an I2C Slave to the Raspberry Pi But when I load the following sketch / Simple I2C protocol for Arduino // Slave side program // (c) 2014 Ignas Gramba // #include <Wire.h> #define XSensorPin 2 #define YSensorPin 3 const byte SlaveDeviceId = 22; byte LastMasterC...

Re: Remote programming a chipKIT Pi

Actually, since you're on OS X you can completely bypass the whole builtin SSH/SCP if you like. 1. Set up public key login to the "ckpi" account 2. Remove "__builtin_" from the scp and ssh commands It should then use the system scp and ssh commands to do the work for you instead. You need the publi...

Re: Remote programming a chipKIT Pi

Unlikely to be an incompatibility, no, since I was using it yesterday with the latest image off the Raspberry site. You can right-click on the console to copy. It should pop up a menu with "Copy" and "Copy All" in it. The latter will copy the whole content of the console to the clipboard without ne...

Re: Remote programming a chipKIT Pi

I note that if I leave my Pi powered off. I get a Connection Exception timed out at the same place as when its powered on but with the com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException : Algorithm negotiation fail. Looking at the board.txt file I assume its trying to do the scp copy command at this time to move the hex...

Re: Remote programming a chipKIT Pi

Sorry about that. I got mislead as it says latest available 10.9.0 installed 10.9.0 I had to click refresh to see that the latest was 10.9.1 Have now updated to 10.9.1 But still have the same problem on the Mac with the java error. Would post more details but I cannot figure out how to cut & paste f...
