Re: Non-blocking i2c (twi) library and question about i2c re

I was surprised like you of the problems using I2C. I did not found any "professional" way to do the things apart from patching TWI.c , reason I tried to gather the attention of the ChipKit committers by posting here. I did not tried up to now to set a watchdog but I will have to do it sooner or lat...

Re: Non-blocking i2c (twi) library and question about i2c re

I have put limits on those loops: seems strange to me to consciously block a process when delays are way out the norm. Be also careful to power down your I2C chips when you reset the MCU: after a bus error, the I2C chips may need a full reset to resume normal operation.

Re: Non-blocking i2c (twi) library and question about i2c re

Hi! I had problems with I2C too. I am using a board based on PIC32MX795 and I must use I2C 4 because of pin use conflicts with I2C 1. This is not so much a problem (little changes in BoardDefs.h coming from Fubarino SD support). But it took me long to discover my first byte read (Master Read) was al...

Re: Fubarino SD from MCP + RTCC library

Thanks a lot Bryan for digging up to resolution! 3 weeks ago, I contributed to Majenko an evolution of RTCC library here: https://github.com/majenkotech/RTCC It has a separated class for timestamp storage (RTCCValue) and for clock+alarm access (RTCC). The PDF Manual has not been updated: RTCC.h and ...

Re: Fubarino SD from MCP + RTCC library

Good news Bryan! I suppose this means that the bootloader installed at factory already contains in BoardConfig.h: #pragma config FSOSCEN = ON // Secondary oscillator enable which is not what I found for _BOARD_FUBARINO_SD_512K_USB_ in: https://raw.github.com/chipKIT32/PIC32-avrdude-bootloader/master...

Re: Using Ser.Terminal on Android+USB OTG with a ChipKit app

Thanks Mikes! I followed your recommendation: the result of the USB Host Diagnostics can be seen on http://usbhost.chainfire.eu/?search=285609 "All Green"! I am using the standard example "ASCII Table" with 57600 bauds, delay(3000) in setup, delay(100) in the loop and no "while(1)" (I cycle the curr...

Re: Microchip Harmony vs chipKIT

It depends of your established channels to market: if these channels will pump all you need to have a decent load of work and revenues, why bother with KickStarter? In another hand, KickStarter would expose Pontech and ChipKit to a large public and it would also test the market potential of the "Mod...

Re: Using Ser.Terminal on Android+USB OTG with a ChipKit app

"tracing an application", I mean "receiving on the Android screen the messages generated by Serial.println("..."); within the Chipkit application" I am using the USB Serial Monitor application from the same author KSKSUE (same library I suppose): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.ksks...

Using Ser.Terminal on Android+USB OTG with a ChipKit applic?

Hi! Does anyone succeeded to take an Android smartphone, using a USB terminal (like USB Serial Monitor Lite) and a USB OTG cable to connect to a ChipKit application tracing on the USB port ??? It does not work for me even if I have in the Fairphone Android 4.2.2 the file /system/etc/permissions/andr...
