Re: Debugging chipKIT Sketches with MPLAB-X, Lecture Slides

Rats! This is annoying! I closed MPIDE & then re-opened it. I tried to "Add Existing Item..." to the Prebuilt Files section of the MPLAB X project, but that did not work... What happens to the project once MPIDE closes? Do I have to create a new project in MPLAB X every time I want to debug my sketch?

Re: Debugging chipKIT Sketches with MPLAB-X, Lecture Slides

Never mind... I figured it out!

I was clicking upload instead of compile/verify. Now it works!

Re: Debugging chipKIT Sketches with MPLAB-X, Lecture Slides

Keith, I'm having trouble doing a verbose compile with MPIDE. I'm using mpide-0023-windows-20130715 with a Max32 chipKIT. When I do a verbose compile, there is a lot of extra stuff that scrolls thru the console window... so much stuff that once the compile is done, I can't scroll up enough to get to...

Re: internet control of max32 + network shield + basic i/o s

Still can't figure out why SW3 & SW4 are showing 1 when they are off. Also, LED3 (3rd LED from center of Basic I/O Shield) is on all the time...

I checked the schematics for the boards & can't find anything. Has anyone seen this before?

Re: internet control of max32 + network shield + basic i/o s

OK. I got it working again... Not sure what happened.

I'll start playing with the web page code again to see if it breaks.

I notice that the web page shows 2 of the switches as '1' when they are off. I looked thru the code & can't figure out how to fix this...

Re: internet control of max32 + network shield + basic i/o s

Thanks, Keith! I got it working... for a little while. I tried changing the code a little to see what I could do & now it doesn't work. I can't ping the board, the web page doesn't come up, nothing. I did not fry any boards--I can load the chipKITWebServer.pde & it works. I can ping the board when u...

Re: Max32 and basic io shield

Not working... I got errors about the way I defined the LEDs I think. I'll try to post my code later (late Friday afternoon must not be good for writing code...)

Re: Max32 and basic io shield

OK. I got the keywords.txt file & BasicIOShield.h file created & stored in the directory ...mpide-0023-windows-20130715\libraries\chipKITBasicIOShield.

I opened MPIDE & imported the files. Looks good so far! I'll play around with it & see what I can do.

Thanks again!!

Re: internet control of max32 + network shield + basic i/o s

OK. I can play around with the code & see the pot value change on the web page using the chipKITWebServer code.

Is there a way to get data into the chipKIT from the web page? For example, click on a button in the web page & that turns on one of the LEDs on the Basic I/O shield...
